Hello. I'm a fifth grader and I LOVE your Island of Fog book! My teacher read some of it to my class and EVERYONE, even people who don't take appeal to the genre! If ANY book deserves a Pultzer Prize then Island of Fog wins for sure!My favorate part is were Abigail shows Hal her wings for the first time. Or where they cover up the fog hole in Black Woods.
But maybe you could eleborate a little more about Abby. She's my favorate charector, and I would like to know more about her.
In my class we've been reading your first book, and it's pretty good! I can't wait to read your second one.
How did you come up with the topic of shapeshifters and stuff? I liked the scene when the parents watched the shapeshift! But your story started out dry but then climed up to action. I also like the discription and dialoge.
Does hall ever learn to fly in the read world? And in your next book can you use my name, [hidden]? But don't display my name on your website please! My mom wouldn't let me. Well anyways I can't wait for your next book!

We read your book Island of Fog in Mr. Clopper's class. Our teacher read it and is now reading it to us. I look your book because it is very excited and fun to read unlike most books. It has a lot of great setting and character. I really admire all your wonderful word choice and fanatastic story. I love all the character's and what creatures they turned into. They all seemed to get along exsept Hall & Fentin.
I wanted to ask you What made you think of this story? How long did it take you to write your first Island of Fog?
I think the future you should make Ms. Samone a little bit nicer and sweeter to the children. I think you should have made the raft scene a little shorter.

Your book is awesome!!! Our teacher, Mr. Clopper, read your book, Island of Fog, to us and it is so good.
I love how you have great word choice in almost every page. I also like how the kids change into cool creatures and how they are shapeshifters. It is all just so awesome and amazing.
One improvment I should give you is that some parts are slow and should move faster like the raft seen. Other than that, your book it's great and so cool. I'm looking forward to Labryinth of Fire.

Hi, my name is Emily [last name hidden]. I'm a 5th Grader who has had there teacher have reading your book "Island of Fog". My class loves it. The characters are like us and we are so happy when Mr. Clopper (my teacher) reads. We have done activitys, and when the book talks about Emily I'm the lime light. I really like the way that you have what everyone turns into.I have some questions. How many book do you think you'll write? Mr. Clopper is reading book 2 and soon he'll read it to our class. Will there be new characters ever? Thanks for reading.
In our class are teacher Mr. Clopper read your book, the Island of Fog and I just want to tell you how great I think your book is.
I think you did a great job with your book. I loved the part where the kid all changed into the amazing creatures. I loved that you picked fog in your stroy and that you picked the creatures you did. All the thinks you put in your book is cool.
I have one thing that I think you should look at. I thing that you should have a little more action with the manticore.
I hope to read the second book you got published and the third you're writing.

In class we have been reading your amazing book The Island of Fog. In the book we love your decription and how good you show setting, action, and character. We have almost finished your first book and I love how you are trying to do everything yourself. We are almost ready to read your new book.
I pearsonly think you should keep making books cause I might be your biggest fan. I am quiet sure you will make wonderful progress. Sense I love your book I will be sure to tell everyone about your wonderful work.
One thing that might help is that I think that the one about the rafts is a little long and I was just going to tell you that it might be something you could work on.
I hope you keep making books for us. Your books are wonderful.

Our teacher Mr. Clopper read Island of Fog to us. It is a great book. I love how you chose all the creatures you chose. Our teacher is reading the 2nd book. I can't wait to read the next book. You give such good discription on each person and the creatures on Mrs. Samones island. What motivated you to write this story and becoming an athour? I think if you write another book you should have the parents turn into something.
You are such a great author. Thanks for taking your time in reading my letter.
My class is reading your first book Island of Fog. Our teacher is a huge fan and so am I. I love all the different creatures the kids turn into. All the suspense is my favorite. We are a couple chapters from the end. I like how you make parts that the kids stick together and won't leave someone behind. I also like how the transformations are spread out and not predictable. You have included many adverbs and we have contests seeing who gets the most. I have learned many creatures too while reading your blog.
I like everything about your book and some scenes are a little to exeggerated. Some of the parts are a little disgusting. For ex the scene when the parents get infected by the desies. All the discription is a little gruesome. But that is really all I didn't enjoy hearing. I have a question, why did you decide to self publish your books? Also how were you inspired to write Island of Fog and other books?

Allthoug the scene with the raft could be a little shorter but than other than that it is a awesome book and I cant wait to hear about your next book.

Our class has read your book it is a good book. I like how your main charactors and what they transform into.
What inspired you to get the charactors and why did you choose the monsters for the book. Its a good book.

Let me tell you why I am writing you. I am in Mr. Clopper's class and I am going to tell you some stuff I loved in your first book "Island of Fog." First I liked when at the middle you described the two kids on the raft on the sea. I also liked when you used all your nice words like retorted. I LOVED the part when you used all those adverbs because we are learning about adverbs this quarter in Mr. Clopper's class. Me and my class just adore your book and we hope to read the second book.
I have two questions also. First, "How do you think of all those scences to do for that awesome book?"
Second, "When you were writing about the manticore did you think of that because I just loved how descrribed the mantcore?"
I just have one improvement, I think that you should have not of kept having Hal saying that he could not fly. Besides that everything else was awesome!!!

My name is [hidden] and Mr. Clopper (my 5th grade teacher) has been reading us Island of Fog and I love how you put that Hal can't fly. I also like how you describe the virus, and how Emily claims that Hal "tried" to drown her. How can Hal change easily in the water, but not on land? I also like how you describe Fenton as a Naga person and how he defends himself.

Hello I'm a fifth grader in Jones Dairy Elementary School. I like how you throw in hooks to hook us we all like the Island Of Fog. My favorite character is Hal! I like how you used kids in it instead of grown ups changeing. Finally I like you use some myth & legand creatures!
One thing you could inprove by shortning the raft schene when Hal was trying to get off the Island. Also, I hope you keep making more Island Of Fog books.

In our class we read Island of Fog. I liked the setting of the storey, and the limitations. The creatures fit carechter's perfectly. The Book was very funny and cool. The set up was very cool. I loved the discription of the creatures. The only bad thing was you misused some words. I canot wait to read the 2nd book. Plese do not reavele my name online.
I think you are one of my favorit authors. But I don't think you get enough sponsors. I hope youre book get some more fans. I wish you great luck.
