Hello. I'm a fifth grader and I LOVE your Island of Fog book! My teacher read some of it to my class and EVERYONE, even people who don't take appeal to the genre! If ANY book deserves a Pultzer Prize then Island of Fog wins for sure!

My favorate part is were Abigail shows Hal her wings for the first time. Or where they cover up the fog hole in Black Woods.

But maybe you could eleborate a little more about Abby. She's my favorate charector, and I would like to know more about her.

In my class we've been reading your first book, and it's pretty good! I can't wait to read your second one.

How did you come up with the topic of shapeshifters and stuff? I liked the scene when the parents watched the shapeshift! But your story started out dry but then climed up to action. I also like the discription and dialoge.

Does hall ever learn to fly in the read world? And in your next book can you use my name, [hidden]? But don't display my name on your website please! My mom wouldn't let me. Well anyways I can't wait for your next book!

We read your book Island of Fog in Mr. Clopper's class. Our teacher read it and is now reading it to us. I look your book because it is very excited and fun to read unlike most books. It has a lot of great setting and character. I really admire all your wonderful word choice and fanatastic story. I love all the character's and what creatures they turned into. I think the future you should make Ms. Samone a little bit nicer and sweeter to the children. I think you should have made the raft scene a little shorter.

I love the Island of Fog. We're reading it and it is amazing!!! I love it! I loved the sceane wear the manticore attacks the first time and Hal changes into a dragon!! I also love the sceane wear they cover the fog hole and the parents get struck by the virus!!!

I love how you have great word choice in almost every page. I also like how the kids change into cool creatures and how they are shapeshifters. It is all just so awesome and amazing.

My class is reading your first book Island of Fog. Our teacher is a huge fan and so am I. I love all the different creatures the kids turn into. All the suspense is my favorite. We are a couple chapters from the end. I like how you make parts that the kids stick together and won't leave someone behind. I also like how the transformations are spread out and not predictable. You have included many adverbs and we have contests seeing who gets the most. I have learned many creatures too while reading your blog.

I like everything about your book and some scenes are a little to exeggerated. Some of the parts are a little disgusting. For ex the scene when the parents get infected by the desies. All the discription is a little gruesome. But that is really all I didn't enjoy hearing. I have a question, why did you decide to self publish your books? Let me tell you why I am writing you. I am in Mr. Clopper's class and I am going to tell you some stuff I loved in your first book "Island of Fog." First I liked when at the middle you described the two kids on the raft on the sea. I also liked when you used all your nice words like retorted. I LOVED the part when you used all those adverbs because we are learning about adverbs this quarter in Mr. Clopper's class. Me and my class just adore your book and we hope to read the second book.

I just have one improvement, I think that you should have not of kept having Hal saying that he could not fly. Besides that everything else was awesome!!!

Hello I'm a fifth grader in Jones Dairy Elementary School. I like how you throw in hooks to hook us we all like the Island Of Fog. My favorite character is Hal! I like how you used kids in it instead of grown ups changeing. Finally I like you use some myth & legand creatures!

One thing you could inprove by shortning the raft schene when Hal was trying to get off the Island. Also, I hope you keep making more Island Of Fog books.

Were reading youre books Island Of Fog and we don't know the second book yet. I love the creatures though. Especially the naga people. I never heard of a dragon/serpent. The Naga.

In our class we read Island of Fog. I liked the setting of the storey, and the limitations. The creatures fit carechter's perfectly. The Book was very funny and cool. The set up was very cool.
