Georgia Literary Festival 2009

Posted on October 16, 2009

This is a quick reminder to say that I'll be at the Georgia Literary Festival in Rome on Saturday 17th October 2009, from 9am to 5:30pm, along with a bunch of other author type people. The event will be split between the Rome City Auditorium and the Regional Library, and it sounds as though the organizers have their hands full with an overwhelming response this year!

I'll be at my table in the library, and I expect my pen will start smoking from signing all those hundreds of copies of Island of Fog. I had a sudden panic attack: what if I run out of books? But hey, that's a problem I'd like to have. :-)

It's a shame Labyrinth of Fire is not quite ready to go, but I can't do anything about that. You can't rush great things, right? Still, it's in its final editing stages and will be ready soon.

Rome as in, in Italy? For just one day? Even if it is for a Literary Festival it's way too short a holiday! Have fun. :-)

Hi Keith,

I am very happy for you to be at the Rome Festival. That is a very great achievement. You have inspired me a lot in the publishing venture. My first book The Famous Five: A Personal Anecdotage (www.bbotw.com) has just been released and I got a copy of it just yesterday. It looks great. Maybe, like you, I may have to do a couple of updates on it as you did with Island of Fog. I am looking forward to purchasing Island of Fog via Amazon.com in the near future once I have updated my account with them. Otherwise keep up the great work you are doing in the publishing industry. You are a very great trailblazer and model of imitation.

Yes, Ming, Rome in Italy... I wish. :-) It's funny, but here in the state of Georgia there's an Athens as well as a Rome, both pretty big cities. Oh, I had a chuckle about it when I first moved here, trust me...

Stephen, you're very kind! A great trailblazer, eh? A model of imitation? I like it! Good luck with your book. I'd like to see on Amazon via their "peek inside" link.
